Make It! Bookmarks

Step up your bookmark game! Move beyond scraps of paper or (heaven forbid!) dogeared pages to clever, creative bookmarks. We'll have materials and instructions for several different types -- stop by to get equipped for all of your summer reading! Ages 4+ (solid scissor skills recommended).

Summer Library Challenge Kick-Off Party Featuring Red Yarn

Sign up for our Summer Library Challenge if you haven't already and enjoy a performance by Red Yarn that weaves together folk songs, puppetry, and storytelling. Expect audience participation, movement, and lots of energy! All ages; especially fun for children ages 2-9 and their caregivers.

Family Storytime

Join other families for stories, songs, movement, fingerplays, puppets, and more. This is geared toward children ages 0-6, but children of all ages are welcome with a parent or caregiver.

Teen Babysitting Class

Once you've finished the computerized BLAST training on a St. Helens Public Library computer, you'll get training and certification in CPR and a crash course in the early literacy ideas you'll need to best care for children.

Space is limited and registration is required.    Please call the Library beginning on April 2nd at 503-397-4544 to sign up for one of the 16 available spots.
