Genial Genealogists

Have you inherited some family tree information but need to know where to start or where to find “the harder stuff?” While each session's topic is unique they all begin with Q&A time so bring those questions and get to know your fellow genial genealogists!

One of our challenges as family historians is to follow our ancestors as they moved and experienced life’s changes and challenges. This talk focuses on the resources available to us to follow their movements, building on what we have already discussed regarding censuses, vital records, land records, and other resources.

One of the ways to find out more about your ancestors is to examine land records. These include deeds and mortgages, as well as many other land records that can help. This talk will explore the resources available for tracking where your ancestors had land and what these records can tell you.

Canceled--Walking the Cotswold in England

We apologize but the Walking Holiday in the Cotswolds in England program has been canceled.

Join us at the library for an evening travel talk as St. Helens resident, Annie Christensen, shares pictures and descriptions of her recent trip through small towns, fields and forests of the Cotswolds with her childhood friend.
