Come join your fellow writers for a twice-a-month write-in at the St. Helens Public Library. Participate in silent word sprints, encourage each other, exchange ideas, and most importantly, do what writers do:  WRITE!
Open to writers of all ages, background, and introvert levels.

St. Helens Writer's Guild

The St. Helens Public Library hosts the St. Helens Writers' Guild meeting each month.  Open to all writers.  2nd Saturday of each month at 12:00-2:00pm, in the Armstrong Room.

MakerFest Brings Hands-on Technology to St. Helens Public Library

St. Helens, Ore. – The St. Helens Public Library invites the community to roll up their sleeves for a day of hands-on making at the library. MakerFest, a day devoted to active learning, returns to the Library on Saturday, February 23 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

RESCHEDULED EVENT: Due to the potential severe weather anticipated for this weekend and next week, the Conversation Project event (see below) that was scheduled for February 12 is being rescheduled for a date in the future. The St. Helens Public Library and the Columbia Center will be closed Monday, February 18, 2019 in observance of President's Day.

We will resume normal operating hours at 10am Tuesday, February 19, 2019.

Scappoose and St. Helens Libraries Increase Access through Combined Catalog

St. Helens, Ore. – Thanks to a grant from the State Library of Oregon, Scappoose and St. Helens public libraries have been working through the fall and winter to merge their individual catalogs into a single system that will benefit both communities. The combined catalog will reduce the annual software maintenance costs for both libraries and improve access to materials for Scappoose and St. Helens library patrons.

St. Helens Public Library Bookmark Design Contest

St. Helens, Ore. – St. Helens Public Library is hosting a bookmark design contest for youth and teens. A winner selected from each of the three competition age divisions will have his or her bookmark printed and distributed during the St. Helens Summer Library Challenge in June 2019.
