Anime Club

Enjoy reading and watching anime -- or even just listening to J-pop or watching K-dramas? Join us for Anime Club! This group is new, so it's up to you what you want it to be. Anime screenings, drawing workshops, Asian culture explorations -- anything is possible! Ages 12 to 18.

Preschool Storytime

In this program for three- to five-year-olds and their caregivers, we pair stories, songs, and dances with scientific inquiry and artistic expression in order to support children's development and growth -- and have fun together!

Toddler Storytime

Songs, stories, dances, wiggles, and more for two- and three-year-olds and their caregivers! Storytime is designed to support early brain development, language acquisition, and motor skill growth. Stay afterward for free play and socializing.

Baby Storytime

Caregivers with children ages six months to two years are invited to join us for stories, fingerplays, songs, bounces, tickles, and other activities that support early brain development, language acquisition, and motor skill growth! Stay afterward for free play and socializing.

UPDATE: Due to unforeseen circumstances, the author has canceled this event. 

St. Helens, Ore. – The St. Helens Public Library will host Jim Rockstad to talk about his book “Rocky’s Road: Stories of 30-Plus Years in the Northwest Drag Racing.” The author talk will take place on Thursday, August 16 at 7 p.m. in the auditorium.

Quilt Show on Display at St. Helens Public Library in August

St. Helens, Ore. – The Friends of the St. Helens Public Library are hosting a quilt show at the Library in August as part of their Quarterly Art Show program. The display will include quilts by the Columbia River Piecemakers Quilt Guild and the Novel Quilters. An artist talk will also be held on Tuesday, August 7, at 7 p.m. in the Library.

One of our challenges as family historians is to follow our ancestors as they moved and experienced life’s changes and challenges. This talk focuses on the resources available to us to follow their movements, building on what we have already discussed regarding censuses, vital records, land records, and other resources.
