Indie Author Day

On Saturday, October 13th from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m., the St. Helens Public Library will join communities across the nation in celebrating Indie Author Day! Join us for presentations and discussions by local authors Sharon L. Hughson and Becky Bean. We will explore the hands-on details of indie, hybrid, and self-publishing, as well as what resources the Library can offer our local writing community.

St. Helens Public Library Book Club

Step back in time where each participant gets to decide what they read. Unlike traditional book clubs, everyone reads a book of their own choosing that follows a theme. The next theme will be HISTORY. Fiction or nonfiction; consider anything from recent to ancient. Share your thoughts and recommendations when you come to the meeting. If you need help with selecting, the St. Helens Public Library will have suggested titles on display. Light snacks and beverages will be served. Everyone is welcome to attend.

Trekking and Teaching in the Himalayas

Since reading about the Himalayas in National Geographic magazines as a
young person, Jeffrey always dreamed of summiting Mount Everest. However,
she never found the right timing to fulfill her dream.
