St. Helens Public Library Bookmark Design Contest
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
January 4, 2019
St. Helens, Ore. – St. Helens Public Library is hosting a bookmark design contest for youth and teens. A winner selected from each of the three competition age divisions will have his or her bookmark printed and distributed during the St. Helens Summer Library Challenge in June 2019.
The contest runs from January 7 through February 23, 2019, and is open to children and teens ages 0 to 18. Any two-dimensional art medium may be used with the exception of computer-generated images.
Finalists from three age divisions -- birth to 6 years old, 7-11 years old, and 12-18 years old -- will be selected by Library staff based on design and reproducibility. Winners will be chosen by a community vote in March and their designs will be released in conjunction with the Library’s annual Summer Library Challenge.
Entry forms are available to pick up at the St. Helens Public Library’s circulation desk. Return the completed form and bookmark design by 2 p.m. on Saturday, February 23 to be entered in the contest.
