Engineering
Welcome to the City of St. Helens Engineering Division.
The mission of the Engineering Division is to provide the highest quality engineering, construction project management, and technical support and services to citizens, developers, builders, other City departments and consulting engineers and surveyors.
Our staff is available to assist you Monday through Friday, 8:30 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. We are located in City Hall at 265 Strand Street. Call us at (503) 397-6272 or email us at Engineering@sthelensoregon.gov.
The Engineering Division provides the following services:
- Project design, management, construction inspection, and development review services in support of City utilities.
- Planning and improving the City infrastructure through master planning, information gathering analysis and storage, and the inspection and regulation of public infrastructure in private development.
- Maintaining and updating record drawings, construction drawings, plats, and partitions for all public infrastructure.
- Maintaining and updating the City’s managing Geographical Information System (GIS) and AutoCAD base maps.
- Administering Right-of-Way permits for all activity within the public right-of-way.
- Reviewing plans, administering public improvement construction permits, and inspecting the construction of public improvements on private residential, industrial, and commercial development projects.
- Providing technical assistance to other City departments for infrastructure planning, operation, and maintenance.
