St. Helens Public Library Book Club

SEPTEMBER'S THEME:

Southern Authors

We each read a book of our choosing that follows a theme; for this gathering it is Southern authors!

Select any work that touches you: fiction, autobiography, biography, or another form of nonfiction. During an informal discussion we'll all share our thoughts and book/author recommendations.

Light snacks and beverages will be available.  Ask for the book club collection at the circulation desk if you need suggestions.

However you are not limited to these selections, so get creative!

Focus Photo Club

Join us for Focus Photo Club at the St. Helens Public Library, hosted by David Rodal.

This meeting will focus on aperture. Bring in examples of your own photographic experiments, or stop in to learn more about how you can use aperture to add depth to your photographs. Focus Photo Club is a great opportunity meet local photographers -- newbies and experts alike.

Digital cameras and photos to share are welcome and encouraged!

Saturday, August 3rd, 12:30-2:00 pm in the auditorium.

Scappoose and St. Helens Libraries Seek Community Feedback on Combined Catalog System

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

June 12, 2019

St. Helens, Ore. – Thanks to a grant from the State Library of Oregon, Scappoose and St. Helens public libraries merged their individual catalogs in late 2018. The merger created a single catalog system that improved access to library materials and reduced software maintenance expenses. The libraries are now asking for patron feedback about the new system.
