Rescheduled Community Discussion on the Meaning of Freedom at St. Helens Public Library

This free discussion on March 14 is part of the Oregon Humanities’ statewide Conversation Project.

St. Helens, Ore. – The St. Helens Public Library postponed its February Conversation Project discussion due to the recent snow and rain weather events. The rescheduled community discussion will take place on Thursday, March 14 at 7 p.m.

Celebrate the 130th anniversary of the incorporation of the City of St. Helens!

Join St. Helens Mayor Rick Scholl and the Columbia County Museum Association as we celebrate the 130th anniversary of the incorporation of the City of St. Helens! View historic photographs, video footage,  memorabilia relating to our city, and enjoy some birthday cake!

A program at 6 p.m. will feature remarks by Mayor Scholl followed by a presentation by Brandon Sundeen from the Columbia County Museum Association about St. Helens in 1889.

St. Helens Writer's Guild--CANCELED

Due to possible weather issues--The Writer's Guild meeting is canceled Saturday, February 09, 2019.

The St. Helens Public Library hosts the St. Helens Writers' Guild meeting each month.  Open to all writers.  2nd Saturday of each month at 12:00-2:00pm, in the Armstrong Room.

Columbia Arts Guild

The Columbia Arts Guild meets every Thursday at 10 a.m. You can Bring Your Own Art (BYOA) to work on in the Auditorium or hit the road with the Traveling Artists! All disciplines of art welcome!

Come join your fellow writers for a twice-a-month write-in at the St. Helens Public Library. Participate in silent word sprints, encourage each other, exchange ideas, and most importantly, do what writers do:  WRITE!
Open to writers of all ages, background, and introvert levels.  
Auditorium, 1st and 3rd Saturdays, 6pm-8pm
