DIY Collage Coasters (Adult SLC)

We will have collage materials available. Join us and create unique, functional pieces of art to cherish for years to come.

Make Your Own Gift Bags (Adult SLC)

Repurpose leftover cardstock, wallpaper samples, or the remains of that ream of fun paper you purchased for a different project by turning it into a fun gift bag – perfect for a small gift!

Fold Your Own Origami Wallet (Adult SLC)

We found an old atlas and thought, what better way to repurpose old maps than to turn them into something useful?  Join us to learn how to make your own origami wallet!

Summer 2024 --Teen Event

While all programs are fun this one is especially for 12-17 year olds.

  • July 11 and August 1, 4:00 – 5:00 pm
  • Teen Anime Club
  • Be sure to bring your favorite manga to share and discuss. We'll also spend time watching one or two anime and looking at other anime that we'd like to watch at future meetings. (Ages 13 – 18)

 

Summer 2024 -- Youth Events

While all programs are fun some are especially for ages birth--11 year olds.

 

  • Every Thursday, 11:00 am (June 20 – August 8, not July 4)
  • Family Storytime
  • Join us for a story or two, singing, dancing, and a craft. (All ages, but best for ages 2 to 5)

Summer Library Challenge 2023: Find Your Voice

Join us at the St. Helens Public Library for our annual Summer Library Challenge from June 19 to August 13, 2023! Track hours you spend reading, learning, helping, and making to earn badges, stickers, and prizes. Programs are available for young people age 0 to 17 years old, and adults over 18 years old.

All-Ages Story Time

Join Mx. Aryn in the children's room for stories, songs, dancing, and more — all designed to help develop young children's literacy skills.

Preschool Storytime is intended for children ages 6 months to 5 years old.

Storytimes are free and you do not need a Library card to attend.

Worldwide Knit in Public Day

Join us Saturday, June 10 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. for Worldwide Knit in Public Day! Celebrate your passion for fiber arts with fellow knitters, felters, and makers around the world. You can be a beginner or a seasoned spinner – everybody is welcome!

We will be knitting in the lobby of the St. Helens Public Library and sharing each other's company. Come meet other local knitters.

Be sure to bring a fiber arts project to work on, some water, and snacks to enjoy. Chairs are available at the Library (or bring your favorite rocker from home).
