STEAM Zone: Fun with Electronics

Come learn about robots and circuits with Mx. Aryn in the Makerspace! We'll be using Cubelets and Snap Circuits.

Ages 8-12. Limit 10. Registration required. If registration is full, a waitlist will be started at the library front desk 30 minutes before the program. Empty spots will be available on a first-come, first-served basis on the day of the program.

Costume Dance Party

Join us in the Auditorium for a dance party! Wear your favorite costume and show off your best dance moves. Snacks will be provided. Families with kids of all ages are welcome!

You do not need a St. Helens Public Library card to participate.

Adults & Crafts

Join us on the second Tuesday of each month from 5:30 - 6:30 p.m. for hands-on projects meant for adults! Each month we will get together to work on a new project.

September 12 - Bookmarks with collage and drawing techniques.

October 10  - Plant presses

Homeschool Hangout

Families who homeschool are invited to the Auditorium at the Columbia Center for a special storytime and social hour! Homeschooled children of all ages are welcome and are encouraged to bring a favorite book to share.

This event takes place on the 3rd Wednesday of each month.

You do not need a St. Helens Public Library card to participate.

Columbia County Genealogy Conference: Rivers of Wonder

Welcome to the third biennial Columbia County Genealogy Conference. This year’s theme is Rivers of Wonder and is a free conference sponsored by Friends of the St. Helens Public Library on September 15th, 16th, & 17th with technical assistance from the Columbia County Museum Association.

Friday and Sunday we will be using our ancestors' professions and professional relationships to find and understand our ancestors from within their own time.

STEAM Zone: Salt Painting

Join Mx. Aryn for salt painting in the Makerspace to learn about absorption and the color wheel and make some fun art in the process!

Ages 8 to 12. Limit 10 people, registration required. If registration is full, a waitlist will be started at the library front desk 30 minutes before the program.

Anime Club

Join us in the library auditorium for screenings and discussions about some of your favorite anime! Snacks will be provided. Ages 13-17.

You do not need to be a member of the St. Helens Public Library to participate in Anime Club.
