Grant Application Process Opens for St. Helens Community Organizations
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
June 23, 2021
St. Helens, Ore. – Occasionally, the City of St. Helens receives funding requests from local community organizations to assist with the mission of their organizations. The City Council recognizes the value that these organizations bring to the St. Helens community and therefore attempts to grant reasonable requests for financial assistance when possible.
To provide a more equitable and structured process, the City of St. Helens has created a grant application process to accept and review funding requests.
The City is pleased to offer local St. Helens organizations the opportunity to apply for small grant funds twice per year, once in the summer and once in the winter. The summer application process is now open. Applications are due by July 23, 2021, at 5 p.m. Applications are available on the City’s website at www.sthelensoregon.gov/administration/page/request-city-grant.
Notifications will be made after the City Council reviews the requests in August.
Grants do not have to be paid back to the City. There is no matching requirement, but the ability to leverage other funds or show in-kind donations is strongly encouraged.
If you have any questions about the grant process, please contact City Recorder Kathy Payne at kpayne@sthelensoregon.gov or call 503-366-8217.
