Rip City Rally and Fair
Join the Trail Blazers and Moda Health in McCormick Park for a Rip City Rally and Fair on Thursday, September 15, 2022, from 4-6 p.m. This is a free event for the St. Helens community. Everyone is welcome to come for a family fun event, a chance to win prizes, and play basketball on the event’s temporary sports court. Be sure to stop by the St. Helens Parks and Recreation booth to say hi and learn about recreation opportunities in the St. Helens community.
Starting Monday, September 12, a team of Trail Blazers and Moda ambassadors and staff will embark on a week-long journey to cities and towns across Oregon and Washington, engaging with Trail Blazers fans all along the way. This event brings Oregon and Washington communities together with energy and enthusiasm to showcase the Trail Blazers as more than just Portland’s team. The Rip City Rally will engage each community on the route via school visits, community projects and a FREE city fair for all fans to enjoy.
The fair is a can’t miss event featuring Trail Blazers alumni and broadcasters, the 1977 Championship trophy, prizes, basketball games and more! The Rally has made stops at 33 cities over the 7 years, and we can’t wait to bring it back this year to help build up our communities throughout Rip City and spread the Trail Blazers spirit across the region.
In April 2020, the City of St. Helens won the Moda Assist Program thanks to a community voting competition. The Portland Trail Blazers and Moda Health awarded the City a $37,000 grant to help build an all abilities playground, which the City used to help install a new playground at McCormick Park in 2021.
