Nob Hill Nature Park Semi-Annual Volunteer Work Day April 1
Scappoose Bay Watershed Council and Friends of Nob Hill Nature Park invite you to join the semi-annual volunteer work day on Saturday, April 1, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. for trail work, weeding and replanting near the lower bridge.
Nob Hill Nature Park is an oak woodland overlooking the Columbia River. The morning work party is supported by a grant from the Oregon Watershed Enhancement Board to remove invasive weeds along Fifth Street right of way and put in native plants. The afternoon session will pull ivy near the park’s lower bridge and help build a short spur trail to a new bench overlooking the river.
Dress for the weather, including rain gear if needed. Please bring gloves, tools, water, and snack items if possible. This work party takes place rain or shine. Meet at the kiosk across from the City’s wastewater treatment plant at 451 Plymouth Street, in St. Helens. All are welcome.
Pre-registration is requested by Friday, March 31 by calling Scappoose Bay Watershed Council at 503-397-7904 or by sending an e-mail to info@scappoosebay-wc.org. For the day of the event, please call 503-349-8586.
