St. Helens Parks and Alcohol Consumption
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
August 30, 2018
St. Helens, Ore. – To ensure a safe, family-oriented experience for all visitors, general consumption or possession of alcoholic beverages is not allowed in the majority of St. Helens municipal parks. The only exception to this rule is at Sand Island Marine Park.
Special event permitting, City approval, and OLCC licensing is required for any major community event where an exception is made to the park alcohol regulations. A complete list of park rules can be found in the St. Helens Municipal Code, Chapter 8.24 at www.codepublishing.com/OR/StHelens/.
The City of St. Helens owns and maintains approximately 135 acres of public parks that feature a variety of amenities for outdoor recreation. The St. Helens park system is intended to create outdoor community gathering places that enrich the city and provide safe places for connection and activity.
