Recruiting Applicants for Parks & Trails Commission

St. Helens, Ore. – The St. Helens Parks & Trails Commission is currently recruiting members who are interested in matters pertaining to the operation, planning, development, improvement, beautification, and maintenance of public parks and trails in St. Helens. Come share your ideas with this very important commission!
This committee meets once a month, on the second Monday at 4:00 p.m., except that they will not be meeting in November due to the Veterans Day holiday. The next meeting is scheduled for December 10. The committee was created and members appointed by the City Council. All committees are advisory to the Council.
To learn more about the Parks & Trails Commission, please visit the City’s website at www.ci.st-helens.or.us. If you click on Your Government and then select Municipal Code and go to Title 2, Chapter 74, you can view information on the Commission. Additionally, if you click on Boards & Commissions, you will be taken to the webpage that lists the current membership information.
If you are interested in volunteering your time to serve on the Parks & Trails Commission, please go to the City’s website and click on Forms & Applications and download a Boards and Commissions Application (or see attached). Print and complete the form and return it to City Hall, Attn: Kathy Payne, P.O. Box 278, 265 Strand Street, St. Helens, OR 97051.
