Effective Monday, October 28, our utility online payment system is LIVE but our phone payment system will remain down during our conversion
Important changes to St. Helens Utility Billing payment options
On October 14, the City of St. Helens Utility Billing payment website and 1-800 number for automated phone payments will be taken down in preparation for a software conversion. As of October 29, our new online system is up and running and accepting account setup and payments. Our phone payment system will remain down while we finish our conversion. During our initial setup, you may have noticed a “service fee” added for making online payments. This additional fee for processing has been removed and will be covered by the City until further notice. If you made a payment in the last few days and were charged this fee, your utility account will be credited this charge. If you have any questions about this, please do not hesitate to call us at 503-397-6272 (Option 1, then 0). We are experiencing higher than usual call volumes at this time and your patience is appreciated.
During this transition, you can make your utility billing payment the following ways:
- Continue to mail your payment to PO Box 35147 #2748, Seattle, WA 98124-5147
- Make a payment in person at the City Hall Annex, 275 Strand Street, St. Helens
- Call our Utility Billing Department at 503-397-6272, option 1, then option 0
- If you set up automatic payments with us by submitting a voided check to our office (this is different than auto payments set up through our website), you do not need to make any changes. Your payment will continue to auto-deduct on its regularly scheduled payment date
If you have any questions during this transition, please call our Utility Billing Department at 503-397-6272.
We thank you for your patience during this process and we hope you enjoy the improvements and changes we are making to our utility billing and financial systems.
