St. Helens, Ore. – The St. Helens Arts and Cultural Commission is hosting their monthly Arts, Culture, and Conversation event on Wednesday, June 13 from 5-8 p.m. at the St. Helens Starbucks on Gable Road.

Arts, Culture, and Conversation is a monthly opportunity for the community to meet with Arts and Cultural Commission (ACC) members in a relaxed setting to chat about various topics related to art and culture.

The community is invited to drop by Starbucks, 2298 Gable Road, anytime between 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. to talk with ACC members about June’s selected conversation topic: How do you find out what’s happening in St. Helens, and how can the ACC better communicate with you?

The Columbia Arts Guild will also be at Starbucks during the event for attendees to participate in the “This is Us” St. Helens community art project. “This is Us” St. Helens was created to encourage the acceptance of public art through hands-on community involvement and to bring attention to the growing art community in St. Helens. Participants paint a three inch wooden house with acrylic paint to represent themselves in the community. All art supplies are provided by the Columbia Arts Guild. The goal is to have 5,000 community members paint houses by July 31, 2018. The individual houses will be used to create one large piece of community art that is scheduled for display this winter 2018 in the Plaza Square on the St. Helens Riverfront.
