World Wide Knit in Public Day

Saturday, June 9, 2018 - 10:00am

Why? “Better Living Through Stitching Together” https://www.wwkipday.com/

When: Saturday, June 9th from 10am until 2pm

Where: The lobby of the St. Helens Public Library, 375 S. 18th Street

What to Bring: Your yarn-based project to work on, water, and a sack lunch

About: All knitters, crocheters, spinners, weavers, textile artisans and all other fiber fanatics are invited to join us for a day of communal creativity. All textile-based art forms, ability-levels and age groups are welcome! Last year, three spinners set up their wheels and spun. No formal demonstrations or instruction is planned at this time, but if you drop by, there will certainly be someone to show you how to do a stitch or two. The St. Helens Public Library hosts a weekly Fiber Fanatics group, so check us out!

What Else? We will provide lots of chairs, but if you’d like to bring a portable chair or even a rocking chair from home – please do!!
