St. Helens Public Library Repair Fair
Saturday, November 5, 2022 - 10:00am
The St. Helens Public Library is holding a repair fair! Volunteers from the St. Helens Community are bringing their skills to the St. Helens Public Library for a day filled with repair and revitalization.
What is a repair fair?
A repair fair is a free event where members of the community can bring household items needing simple repairs and work with an expert to get the item back in working condition. Whether it’s a lamp in need of a new plug, a bike with a flat tire, a zipper that needs to be re-attached, a headlight that needs to be replaced, or a chair with a wobbly leg, we’ll do our best to get it back in working order!
Please note that time slots are 30 minutes. We cannot guarantee that all items can be repaired within the allotted time, or that our volunteers will be able to repair all items. All items are brought in at the risk of the person bringing the item. If your repair may require a replacement part (headlight, plug, fuse, etc.), please bring the part in with you since we may not be able to provide materials for a specific repair.
How do I participate?
To sign up to have an item repaired, visit https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10c0e4ca8a62ea7f8c34-repair. Sign up for a 30-minute time slot and provide a description of the item and the repair it needs. Come for your time slot on the day of the event and you will be paired with one of our expert volunteers to address the problem. We will confirm your registration 3 days prior to the event.
