FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
July 27, 2018
St. Helens, Ore. – The Friends of the St. Helens Public Library are hosting a quilt show at the Library in August as part of their Quarterly Art Show program. The display will include quilts by the Columbia River Piecemakers Quilt Guild and the Novel Quilters. An artist talk will also be held on Tuesday, August 7, at 7 p.m. in the Library.
The show is made up of small and miniature quilts, which includes quilts made with traditional blocks, art quilts, original designs, crazy quilts, appliqued quilts featuring various techniques, and quilts with different forms of embroidery.
The Novel Quilters is a special sub-group of the Columbia River Piecemakers Quilt Guild. The group makes quilts about books. Several novel-based quilts will be on display at the Library during the August art show.
Members of the Columbia River Piecemakers Quilt Guild and Novel Quilters will be at the Library on Tuesday, August 7 for an artist talk. People are invited to come to the Library at 7 p.m. to listen, learn, and have fun talking about quilting.
