Columbia County Genealogy Conference: Rivers of Wonder
Sunday, September 17, 2023 (All day)
Welcome to the third biennial Columbia County Genealogy Conference. This year’s theme is Rivers of Wonder and is a free conference sponsored by Friends of the St. Helens Public Library on September 15th, 16th, & 17th with technical assistance from the Columbia County Museum Association.
Friday and Sunday we will be using our ancestors' professions and professional relationships to find and understand our ancestors from within their own time.
Saturday, we will look not only at building successful searches on FamilySearch but also how to take those results and add them to an existing record to build stronger profiles within FamilySearch. While there we will also learn techniques to differentiate between people and whether FamilySearch or Ancestry will provide a better result based on the question asked of it and type of answer needed.
Please fill out registration to reserve your spot. We are limited to 80 in-person attendees.
If you would like more information prior to registering please click on these links: daily schedule, session descriptions, speaker background.
