Beginning Knitting
Wednesday, March 13, 2024 - 5:30pm
The St. Helens Public Library is hosting a knitting class for beginners taught by Suzanne Bishop. You will learn the two basic knitting stitches and make a practice swatch.
This program is intended for adults ages 18+. Limited to 10 participants. Register on SignUpGenius: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10C0E4CA8A62EA7F8C34-48152108-beginning#/
Suzanne Bishop is an avid knitter who was taught by her fourth-grade teacher too many years ago to say.
Supplies: we have a lot of acrylic yarn to use, and straight needles to borrow for the class. If you would like to bring your own materials, you will need a pair of #9 (5.5 mm) or #10 (6.0 mm) straight needles. Wood or bamboo are best. Also bring some light-colored worsted weight acrylic yarn. These are readily available at any craft store or on Amazon.
