St. Helens Neighborhood Theft from Vehicles
July 7, 2020
Today we received several reports from people living in the Oakwood Drive, Camden Street, and Helens Way neighborhood of car prowls and theft from unlocked vehicles. We are seeking residents living in these areas with video security systems such as Nest and Ring who would be willing to allow police officers to review footage in order to identify the suspects.
If you live in this neighborhood and have additional information regarding these thefts or security system footage that you are willing to allow police to review, please contact the St. Helens Police Department at 503-397-1521 and ask to speak to an officer.
The suspect(s) targeted unlocked vehicles in this neighborhood. To keep you and your possessions safe, please remember the following safety tips:
- Make sure to lock your vehicles if they are parked in a driveway or on the street.
- Do not leave valuables in your vehicle.
- If you must leave items inside your vehicle, you can reduce the risk of theft by securing items in your trunk or out of view.
- To report a theft from a vehicle or a vehicle break in, contact non-emergency dispatch at 503-397-1521.
