St. Helens Arrest Leads to Seizure of Drugs and Weapon

January 23, 2024
St. Helens, Ore. - On Monday, January 22, 2024, St. Helens officers received information that Justin Morton, 28, of St. Helens was traveling through the area and the subject of multiple warrants. Officer located Morton driving near 115 Columbia River Highway. After conducting a traffic stop, officers took Morton into custody for his outstanding arrest warrant.
Officers continued their investigation and located 103 grams of methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, a digital scale, and a firearm with ammunition.
Morton was lodged at the Columbia County Jail for Unlawful Manufacture of Methamphetamine, Unlawful Delivery of Methamphetamine, Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine, Driving while Suspended-Misdemeanor, Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, and a Probation Violation.
