Police National Night Out
On Tuesday, August 6 from 5 p.m. - 8 p.m. the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office along with the St. Helens Police Department and Columbia River Fire and Rescue will be hosting the Annual National Night Out Event.
National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes strong police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, more caring places to live and work. National Night Out enhances the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement while bringing back a true sense of community. Furthermore, it provides a great opportunity to bring police and neighbors together under positive circumstances.
This year’s festivities will include:
- Demonstrations by Columbia River Fire and Rescue
- St. Helens Police Department
- K-9 Demonstrations by the Sheriff’s Office and St. Helens Police Department.
- Dunk Tank (dunk a government official) $1 for three balls. Money will go to a local charity
- Juvenile Fingerprinting
- Bouncy Houses
- Corn Hole
- Giant Jenga
- Hamburgers, hot dogs, water, and lemonade
- Snow Cones
- Jail Tours
- InRoads Credit Union Free Photo Booth
- American Heritage Girls
- Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts
- Mounted Posse
- Search and Rescue
