City Requests Bids for Waterline Improvement Project
The City of St. Helens recently went out to bid for a waterline improvement project in the area of Tualatin, Little, and North 7th Streets. The improvement project will install over 1,520 feet of new ductile iron water main, along with new valves and fire hydrants, and reconnect or extend approximately 28 water service lines in the area. Other work will include rock excavation, replacing pavement, abandoning the existing water main, and installation of necessary assemblies, fittings, and appurtenances
A contractor will be selected for the project after October 21, 2021. The project will be completed in two phases and a timeline of work will be developed once the contractor is chosen.
You can see current open bids and R.F.P.s on the City of St. Helens Engineering Department's website. If you have any questions about the waterline improvement project, please contact Sharon Darroux at (503) 366-8243 or sdarroux@sthelensoregon.gov.
