Citizens Day in the Park - Vendor Application
Thank you for your interest in participating in Citizens Day in the Park as a vendor! Citizens Day in the Park is a free community event organized by the City of St. Helens and supported by local businesses and partnering organizations. As a free event, the City is waiving vendor and booth fees. Vendors are strongly encouraged to provide a family friendly activity at their space.
VENDOR DETAILS
- McCormick Park Parking Lot (closest to the creek access)
- Booth Set-up Begins: 8:45 a.m.
- Event Hours: 11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
- Food Service Begins: 11:00 a.m.
- Booth Tear-Down Begins: 2:30 p.m.
- Booth must remain open during the hours of Citizens Day in the Park. No late set-up or early take down will be allowed.
CONDITIONS
The City of St. Helens agrees to provide the following:
- Approx. 10x10 space for your booth (limited electrical service available by request in advance; no water service available)
By completing the form, you agree to the following event guidelines:
- Furnish your own table, canopy, signs, decorations, extension cord, and cord covers, if applicable.
- Provide a family friendly activity, game, or information for citizens at your booth.
- Space assignment will be given to you at check-in the morning of the event. Booth set-up may begin after.
- Vehicles must be moved to the designated event parking area by 10:30 a.m.
- No vehicles are allowed in the vendor area after 10:30 a.m. or before 2:30 p.m. NO EXCEPTIONS.
- Booths cannot be dismantled or closed prior to the event end time.
- Clean-up your area after the event.
By completing the form, you agree to the following liability terms:
- To assume full legal and financial responsibility for any and all damages to City owned parks, facilities, and/or equipment used while conducting this program, and to be responsible for removal of all personal materials prior to leaving the park or facility at the completion of the event. Charges will be assessed to the undersigned for restoration and property removal if applicable. The use of confetti and/or affixing tape to any painted surface is prohibited;
- To grant the City, its employees, agents and representatives the authority to act in any attempt to safeguard and preserve the health and safety of participants during the use of these facilities including authorizing medical treatment on behalf of participants at the participants expense and of returning the participant to their home;
- To conform to all applicable policies, rules, regulations and standards of conduct as established by the City;
- To waive any claim for damages or compensation resulting from fire, casualty or other circumstances rendering the fulfillment of this agreement impractical or impossible, and understands that the City shall not be liable for any loss whatsoever as a result of such changes, with or without notice;
- To voluntarily indemnify and to hold harmless the City of St. Helens, the Mayor, the City Council, their respective officers, employees, and agents from any and all liability, loss, damages, costs, or expenses (including attorney fees) arising out of the use of City owned parks/facilities, which do not arise out of the negligent acts or omissions of any officer, employee, or agent of the City and/or City Council.
- Vendors may be subject to insurance requirements depending on products or activities being offered to the public. Examples include, but are not limited to, bringing food, animals, reptiles, or offering a climbing wall.
This agreement is valid for City park/facility use on Saturday, June 22, 2024 in McCormick Park.
