Sand Island Sandcastle Competition
First Annual Sand Island Sandcastle Competition
August 13, 14, and 15, 2021
Sand Island, St. Helens, Oregon
Award-winning sandcastle carvers who will be showcasing their creations. The carvings will be completed on Friday, August 13. Watch their progress as they create the sand art pieces. On Saturday and Sunday, all carvings will be available for your viewing delight.
Want to learn more about sand carving? Free classes are available for wannabe carvers. Instruction is available from 1 – 2 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday with periodic instruction following. There will be a quick carve competition between the competition teams on Saturday between 11- 2 p.m. that you won’t want to miss.
Vote for your favorite. Each person will receive a ticket to vote for their favorite creation. Voting takes place at the end of the weekend by count and will be announced online.
A fun island scavenger hunt has also been created.
Location: Sand Island Campground and Marine Park, 10 a.m. – 8 p.m. Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
