Traffic Alert: Seattle to Portland July 16-17, 2022
The Seattle to Portland (STP) bicycle event is traveling through St. Helens this weekend, Saturday and Sunday, July 16-17, 2022.
The St. Helens High School is normally a stop on the route. Due to construction, the stop has been moved to McBride Elementary School.
While traveling, you should anticipate heavy bicycle traffic on:
- Highway 30
- Columbia Boulevard
- Sykes Road
- Near McBride Elementary School
Cyclists will now be traveling eastbound (south) on Highway 30 and turning right onto Columbia Boulevard with a stop at McBride Elementary School. From there, cyclists will continue on Columbia Boulevard, turning left onto Sykes Road, and then right onto Highway 30.
If possible, avoid Columbia Boulevard west of Highway 30 and Sykes Road and use alternate routes this weekend.
