PRESS RELEASE
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
September 26, 2016
ST. HELENS WATERFRONT REDEVELOPMENT OPEN HOUSE AND CELEBRATION
The St. Helens community is invited to attend a Waterfront Redevelopment Open House and Celebration on Wednesday, October 12 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on the former Boise Veneer property under an event tent.
There will be no formal presentation at the open house. Attendees are encouraged to arrive at any time during open house hours and help celebrate the planning and design outcomes achieved during the last year of waterfront redevelopment planning. Light refreshments will be provided.
This is the third and final meeting of the Waterfront Redevelopment Area-Wide Planning project which was funded by the Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) Brownfield program. Information stations will be set up under the event tent that will highlight materials generated as part of the Framework Plan and key components of the Implementation Strategy which will guide the City in the next steps of redevelopment. City staff and consultants will be on hand to answer questions and facilitate discussion.
The waterfront location is subject to change in the event of adverse weather. Please watch the City of St. Helens’ Facebook page (www.facebook.com/cityofsthelens) for any location updates which will be announced as soon as possible.
