Seasonal Youth Program Lead

The City of St. Helens is seeking applications to fill a Youth Program Lead position that will assist/lead an after school Program at Lewis & Clark Elementary School.
This position is responsible for ensuring that children, ages five to 12, have a safe and positive educational and recreational experience by acting as leader assisting in operations of an after school activities program by the St. Helens Recreation Program in partnership with the St. Helens School District. Job duties and responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to those listed in the job description.
Qualifications Required: Must be 18+ years of age and have graduated from high school or have attained a GED equivalent plus related experience and/or training working with children ages five to 12. A complete list of Minimum and Desired Qualifications and Special Requirements is included in the job description.
This is a seasonal position that will average 0-30 hours per week. The successful candidate must be flexible in the days and hours worked. The beginning hourly rate for this position is $12.00 (Step 1). City-paid PERS after six months.
