Community Development Administrative Assistant

The City of St. Helens is seeking applications for the position of Community Development Administrative Assistant. This position supports the Building, Planning, and Engineering Divisions by performing various clerical and administrative activities. A complete list of duties and responsibilities and desired qualifications are listed on the job description.
Minimum Qualifications
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma equivalent.
- 3+ years of increasingly responsible related experience, or any equivalent combination of related education and experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to perform cashier duties accurately.
- Ability to effectively meet and deal with the public appropriately.
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
- Ability to handle stressful situations.
- Ability to maintain a high level of organization.
- Ability to establish successful working relationships.
Salary: The position is full-time and offers a base wage scale of $3,484 (Step 1) to $4,237 (Step 5) per month. The City also provides an excellent benefits package. This is a union covered position.
